I have downloaded suse Linux 10.1 from my local mirror and burned on the DVD but the ISO image was like winrar archive, Is that OK? Whoever when I try to bot it from my primary drive it won't boot , is there some thing to do?

1. And one additional question, Dose Nero can be used to burn DVD image?
2. There is a mistake in the view of the question, What I meant to say was that I burned the file as ISO image but after I downloaded the file it was like a winrar file on my computer, Is that OK?
3. no you should burn it as "image" from your favourite cd burner you have burned it as an ordinary file. do it once again.

   have you downloaded cd images or dvd image
   if it is cd image then you should burn cd else dvd it may appear like win rar but it is not corrupted. you may use the image itself

5. Alright, you have to burn it using a burning software.

   Winrar, all it does is open the archive(that is a set of file in general) just the way it would open a .zip or a .rar file.

   So, you are not burning the image of the DVD but just the contents of the DVD plainly like a data DVD.

   I recommend Nero.
   Go to Nero express -> open image
   Or you can try the same using Nero Ultra.

   Its simple.
