Suse linux 10.1 having probs w/ network manager is it wise to remove the loopback adapter? and how to do it.?
Network manager is not working properly I have to constantly go to a command line to connect to the internet. I believe the loopback adater is causing this issue. Problem is I don't know how to remove it. Does anyone out there have any answers to this issue.
- Don't remove the loop-back address…many Linux programs use it by default or as a backup in case there is no network adapter.
Do you mean you have to go to the command line and start the network? If so it may be that the network is not getting started when the machine boots. Check the network settings in the "control panel" or "system settings".
