SUSE Linux very slow?

I have installed Suse Linux 9.1 and it looks very good but is unbelievably slow. Apps take about 1 min to open and internet connection about 2 mins to start displaying the page.

Machine is 1GM RAM 2.8GHz pentium connecting to internet via BT DSL 2MB link via Draytek 2600 Router. I suspect DNS problems but can't fathom it out.

your system is not working properly
Well it could be FSB issue of ram or u may need to upgrade the kernle and got to check it up.

I've been using Linux for a long time and I've always had problems with SUSE for some reason. You might want to try Redhat, Fedora or CentOS.
