While originality.ai detected the content to be AI-based with 97% confidence, writer.com surprisingly claimed it to be 90% human-generated content. However, contentatscale.ai detected the content to be AI-written with 100% confidence.
To bypass these AI detectors, we used ChatGPT’s prompts and seed content to instruct the AI on how to write content that has a good balance of perplexity and burstiness. We explained to the AI that humans tend to write with greater burstiness, including longer or more complex sentences alongside shorter ones. In contrast, AI-generated sentences tend to be more uniform. By instructing ChatGPT to generate content with a good amount of perplexity and burstiness, we aimed to create content that would appear more human-written and less likely to be flagged as AI-generated.
We then instructed ChatGPT to rewrite the original article using these concepts, which resulted in an article with increased perplexity and burstiness. Testing this article on AI detection tools, we found that it received a 100% human-generated content score on all three detectors.
